Finally - SHOWTIME!
A great show, went down a storm, the lights powered by WIZ were sensational and the back projections were stunning. Visually fantastic. The band also had a really good night, one of our best performances for years, with everyone in top form, especially me :-)
VERY well received, standing ovation from the packed theater, with a heavy metal version of Arrive Alive (doublebassdrumsasf*ck), with the Atlantis ending, followed by the Deep Purple Blues ending!
Most excellent gig! Will post some pics when Mike Bee gives me them.
Anyway TTFN. Will post more on the trip, when i can be arsed doing it.

Pintito time!
After the arduous task of sound checking, it was felt necessary post Pizza to refresh ourselves with a beautiful beer. Sir Lez, Ron, Niall and myself went for a beer and talked sh*te for the majority, Niall refusing to answer to his own name and claiming that his REAL name was Enrico Bambini!!! Marvellous..... Kids in the park, jumpers for goalposts, isn't it...
Anyhow, visited a posh pub which had testimonials on the walls of satisfied past customers, convinced this guys name was Antelope Stratocaster, not that the picture proves anything..

The gig..... Katowice
Sat all day in the theater watching a full dress rehearsal of Clive Nolan's Rock Opera thingy :-( Running hours late, so the pressure was really on to soundcheck (3 hours late) using unfamiliar instruments (the only things i had taken were my drumsticks a sampler an Octapad for samples!!). Thankfully the kit was decent and sounded really good after some tuning. So we sounchecked quickly, sounding good (thanks to Sir Lez), and then had to take it all apart again so that The Oliver Wakeman band could do their thing (they were first on).
Luxury in Poland
Here are Ronnie and myself, both looking the worse for wear prior to leaving the room for the gig

Then there was the room with it lovely decor. Felt like we had been sent to prison!

Well, we traveled to Poland and conquered! A huge amount of travel for 80 mins of playing.
We arrived at our hotel and to be honest were amazed at what a sh*thole it was/is. Here are some pics of the hotel. Firstly the rather attractive exterior (not!)
