Gig at Beluga thursday 4th Dec

will post more details on set list etc when i have it.

New Bass Drum Skin

I had the Blues Deluxe Logo put on to my front Kick Drum Skin. The guys at Custom Skins did a great job. Check them out on www.customskins.co.uk Contact tim@customskins.co.uk
for great service.

This is the image that was sent of the skin. It looks amazing on the drum, brilliant job. The "moon" on the bottom right has a reinforcer on it for Miking purposes. Looks cool!

BLUES DELUXE RECORDING

We are going into the studio on Sunday the 14th Dec to attempt to record and mix 6 tracks in one day. The tracks are as follows with the versions we kinda used to learn them:

1. Pride & Joy - Stevie Ray Vaughan
2. Stormy Monday - T-Bone Walker
3. Don't Change Horses - Greg Koch Version
4. One Foot In The Grave - Philip Sayce
5. I Don't Believe - Bonamassa Version
6. Little wing - Hendrix

We will generally be making them available for sale at gigs from January onwards. Hopefully with the short time we have to record hem, we will do ourselves justice. No click tracks, just played live! Bring it on.........

Mitch Mitchell

Mitch Mitchell, drummer for Hendrix, found dead....

Mitch Mitchell was a one off, with a cavalier style that helped shape the Hendrix legend. He had a very unique fusion of Jazz and free rock playing style that will never be repeated. We (Blues Deluxe) play "Manic Depression" and "Fire", probably 2 of his signature drum tacks and real fun to play, with the song composed directly round his unique drumming style. Fittingly he had been drumming for the Experience Hendrix Tour, which performed in Portland USA, where he was found in his Hotel room. It was the last stop on the West Coast part of the tour. We will never see his likes again...
